Colmac Coil is pleased to announce a new fin coating process that is more than 300% more resistant to corrosion than bare aluminum fins. The new epoxy coating process has many benefits including extending the life of the heat exchanger, improving corrosion resistance, and producing high thermal conductivity with a negligible impact on heat transfer.
The coating system (EPPU) consists of the base aluminum alloy prepared with a chemical conversion layer. This is coated with a colorless epoxy layer and a final polyurethane top coat. Epoxy resin coated aluminum fins can be used on any Colmac plate fin product in any environment. Selection of this coating system is simple and easy using Colmac Coil selection software.
